Specific Attributes

The Finance Head – Group Companies will be responsible for leading the finance function of 2–3 companies within the group, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, performance management, and strategic financial support. This role is designed for a high-potential finance leader who will be groomed for broader group leadership responsibilities, with a structured progression toward Deputy CEO and eventually CEO, based on performance and capability.

Responsibilities

1. Company-Level Finance Leadership
  • Head the finance function for 2–3 designated group companies
  • Oversee accounting, finance operations, MIS, and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
2. Budgeting, Planning & Performance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned companies
  • Support business heads in pricing, cost control, margin improvement, and profitability
  • Monitor KPIs and financial health of each entity
3. Compliance, Taxation & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with Nepal tax laws, VAT, IRD requirements, customs, and statutory regulations
  • Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices
4. Treasury & Working Capital
  • Manage cash flows, receivables, payables, and inventory financing
  • Coordinate with banks for limits, renewals, documentation, and compliance
  • Optimize working capital and funding utilization
5. Stakeholder & Group Coordination
  • Act as the finance interface between company management and group finance / corporate office
  • Align company-level finance practices with group policies and standards
  • Support group consolidation and reporting requirements
6. Leadership Development & CEO Grooming Exposure
  • Work closely with Managing Director / Group CFO on strategic initiatives
  • Participate in business planning, expansion discussions, and operational reviews
  • Gain exposure to operations, sales, supply chain, and compliance beyond finance
  • Take ownership of cross-functional projects and special assignments
  • Prepare for progression into Deputy CEO / CEO roles within the group over time

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Prior experience as Finance Manager / Finance Head / Senior Finance Controller
  • Experience handling multiple entities or business units preferred
  • Strong understanding of Nepal’s tax, audit, and regulatory environment

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / ACCA / CPA / MBA (Finance)
  • Additional leadership or management training is an advantage
