Specific Attributes

The Senior Accountant will oversee the entire accounting and financial operations of the steel manufacturing unit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial transactions. The role demands strong analytical, managerial, and leadership skills to manage accounts, taxation, costing, and audits effectively.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to work full-time on-site at Ramgram Factory.
• Preference will be given to candidates from nearby regions or those open to relocation.
• Immediate joiners will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and trial balance.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle factory cost accounting, production costing, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and bank reconciliation on a daily basis.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, Income Tax, Excise, and other Nepalese tax regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure timely closure.
• Oversee payroll processing, provident fund, and statutory deductions.
• Implement internal financial controls and cost-saving measures.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and financial institutions as required.
• Support management with financial forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or steel industry.
• Sound knowledge of Nepal Accounting Standards (NAS) and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and MS Office; experience with factory ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a small team and coordinate with multiple departments.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (BBS/MBS preferred).
