Position Objectives:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing daily operations at the Head Office in Kathmandu. This role focuses on ensuring efficient business development and strong coordination with regional offices and business associates. The BDM is a results-oriented leader with a proven track record in student recruitment and stays updated on evolving policies and regulations within the international education landscape.

Essential skills, abilities& knowledge

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and manage diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email communication, social media platforms, Internet research, and familiarity with KEF proprietary software or similar CRM systems.
  • Sound knowledge of international education systems, visa processes, and regulations related to study abroad destinations like Australia, Canada, USA, UK, and New Zealand.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong business acumen and a track record of driving business growth through innovative strategies and partnerships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing circumstances, and lead cross-functional teams towards shared goals.
  • Strong commitment to client satisfaction, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Regional Offices (R/O) and Business Associates (B/A) to achieve targeted business goals, including overseeing all processes related to student offers and visa lodgment for Australia, Canada, USA, UK & New Zealand and staying updated on new policies.
  • Conducting training sessions for counselors and staff at Regional Offices (R/O) and Business Associates (B/A), ensuring team management and development.
  • Implementing and providing training on CRM software for Regional Offices (R/O) as required.
  • Organizing seminars or information sessions with institution representatives in regional offices.
  • Planning and executing advertising, promotions, and fair participations for each Regional Office (R/O).
  • Coordinating with department heads to ensure smooth application processes for Regional Offices (R/O) and Business Associates (B/A).
  • Managing contracts with Regional Offices, Franchise Units, and Business Associates as needed.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and implementing department programs and services.
  • Developing operational plans aligned with company recruitment objectives.
  • Ensuring client and partner expectations are met.
  • Supervising day-to-day operations and team performance.
  • Maintaining data integrity and confidentiality of client information.
  • Achieving recruitment targets for admissions and visas.
  • Overseeing departmental financial performance and profitability.
  • Communicating effectively with the Operations Manager to optimize departmental operations and growth.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of student documents for admissions.

Experience

Minimum three years of senior-level experience in student recruitment, with a proven track record of achieving recruitment targets and developing successful strategies.

Education

University degree in a related field, preferably obtained from a foreign university.
