Job Purpose:

The Distribution Sales Representative (DSR) for General Trade is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products by managing and expanding the customer base within an assigned territory. The DSR will work closely with the Sales Manager to execute the sales plan and achieve the company's revenue targets. This is a field-based role that requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out new customers and develop relationships with existing ones to achieve sales targets
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure product availability, visibility, and freshness
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase sales and market share
  • Gather market intelligence and report on competitor activity, pricing, and promotional activity
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and execute promotional plans and pricing strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of performance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute monthly/quarterly and yearly customer plans.
  • Achieve agreed sales volume and control of expenses.
  • Product Management (Forecast, Availability, Listing, Merchandising, Shelf Share, Pricing)
  • Development and retention of the distribution network timely and professionally.
  • Update yearly contract with business terms favorable for company
  • Build & maintain relationship with managers, directors of key accounts.
  • Supervise and lead of the Modern Trade sales team

Experience

2-3 years of experience in FMCG sales or distribution

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
