Primary Purpose of this Position:-

We are looking for an exceptional Sales Officer – Intern (SO-Intern) to join our team! As a SO-Intern you will be responsible for development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. You will direct a sales team to provide leadership towards the achievement of targets and sales growth in line with company vision and values. This position requires remarkable analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills.

SO-Interns directly work under the supervision and guidance of our Senior team member. This position offers ample training and educational opportunities for someone who wants to develop a career progression in the sales side of Multinational Consumer Goods.

Career Progression: After four months of training, the candidate will be promoted to SO-traineeship for 6 months. Upon completion of Traineeship, you will be confirmed to the position of Sales OfficerColgate Palmolive Division.

Main Duties of Sales Officer Position:-

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Field Force.
  • Ensure implementation of DB Management Software (Bizom)
  • Prepares action plans by individual team members for effective distribution and placements.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets and routes.
  • Understand development needs of the sales team to provide insight for the improvement to immediate Supervisor/ Area Sales Manager. Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and reports.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Assist Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Monitor proper flow of schemes in market to meet guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Set examples for Sales Team in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Maintain contact with all stakeholders (Outlets, Distributors, PSR, DBSR) in the market area to ensure right level of product distribution and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.
  • Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
