Sales Manager - Waste Management

Specific Attributes

We have been operating in waste management and composting for the last 8 years. We are one of the largest recycling companies in Nepal and the biggest producer of organic fertilizers.The company has a small sales team consisting of the sales manager and one sales officer. The sales manager should meet companies revenue targets through the activities of the sales team. The sales manager is responsible for companies main revenue engine. The sales manager creates and maintains a high performance sales teams, and leads the sales officers to increase sales and meet customer needs. The sales manager has to be proactive, someone who takes its responsibility and who is able to identify new business opportunities and act on this. Experience in the agri sector is a pro, affinity with our vision to contribute to the transition to sustainable agriculture is a must. Our product portfolio contains compost and liquid fertilizer and we aim to expand this with other agricultural products.

The sales manager is reporting to the managing director. Our office and factory is in Khokana, Laltipur. 

We provide a basic salary of 30,000 NPR and a very attractive performance based incentive package.

 

Responsibilities

Sales Team

  • Recruit, select, and train sales officers
  • Communicate job expectations and planning
  • Achieve objectives of the sales officers through effective planning, setting sales goals, and monitoring performance
  • Provide inspired leadership to the sales officer(s) and discipline them when required
  • Motivate and advice sales officers to improve their performance
  • Monitor and record sales in the online database
  • Review job contributions and hold appraisal meetings with sales officers

 

 

 

Customer Manager

  • Manage relationships with customers such as farmers, nurseries, dealerships, government and others
  • Keep close track of cash collection and timely follow up with debtors to ensure all payments are made on time
  • Monitor and record customer relationships using the database
  • Marketing and Social Media
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our social media strategy
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of our social media presence
  • Work with third parties to ensure content is informative and appealing

Business Opportunities

  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Submit bids for subsidized concessions and build and maintain relationships with relevant government representatives
  • Identify opportunities for diversification of products and contribute to the market analysis

Other

  • Comply with all administrative requirements in the organization
  • Work closely with the  management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation
  • Help to promote a company culture that encourages staff to perform well and keep up a high morale
  • Identify and address problems for the company
  • Adhere to reporting requirements
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the seniors
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
