Specific Attributes

Finance Manager is responsible for:

• Profitability: to oversee Finances of Fujito group in Mauritius territory and understand what will make the company profitable and productive;
• Reports:  prepare reports on a regular basis that includes Monthly Financial Statements, cost reports, budgeting and forecasting reports;
• Productivity: oversee staff performances and lead and develop the team so they can be effective in their analysis and in their accounting duties;
• Timeliness and Accuracy: ensure that the books are accurate and that everything is accounted on a timely basis.

Responsibilities

Planning & Control:

• Prepare annual budget according to financial and tax planning in-line to group directions.
• Monitor budget adjustments and provide a focal point to assist Country Head on budget matters.
• Monitor budget performance to investigate and report on adverse or unusual outcomes / trends with explanations.
• Monthly review and monitor the budget performance with country Head and CFO.
• Monitor monthly rolling forecast to reflect the realistic performance vs. budget and propose actions if needed.(e.g. DST, Cash Flow, Tax Planning)

Financial & Management Reporting

• Review and monitor all monthly / quarterly financial and management and annual reports.
• Enhance operational and financial performance reporting within the organisation including profitability analysis of key business elements
• All the reports adhere to Accounting Standard, rules & regulations, policy & procedures
• Highlight financial risk & opportunity from reporting and propose solution

Risk Management

• Improve AR management
• Minimise forex exposure to hedge the Foreign Currency Risk
• Comply with the Statutory and Tax regulations
• Ensure the Safety and insurance coverage of Human Resource
• Ensure the Safety and insurance coverage of Asset including Cash

People Management

• Provide leadership and direction to the Country Finance team.
• Improve communication skills and capability of Country Finance & Accounts Team
• Ensure team work and co-operation with other departments within the organisation.
• Ensure compliance of corporate code of ethics and professional behaviour for the team.
• Proper induction and regular training to achieve corporate objectives

Experience

4+ years in managerial position

Education

CA or equivalent
